Paper filter] HARIO V60

*These numbers are just a guideline, so please adjust them to your liking.

  • coffee beans

    10g (medium grind)

  • hot water

    150ml (93℃)

01 Preparation

Prepare 10g of coffee beans and grind them. For hand drip coffee, grind to a medium size, like the one shown in the photo. This will vary depending on the grinder, so please use this as a reference.
Prepare hot water. The extraction temperature is 93°C. If you transfer boiling water to another kettle or pot, the temperature will be about 93°C. Prepare about twice the amount of hot water you will be pouring.

02 Rinse

Place the dripper on the server and insert the paper filter.

To warm up the device, pour hot water over the paper filter once, ensuring that it is evenly distributed (this is called rinsing).

Please discard the hot water that has accumulated in the server after rinsing.

03 Set

After rinsing, set the server and dripper back in place and place the coffee grounds in the center of the paper filter. Then, shake it gently to evenly distribute the coffee grounds evenly (to ensure that the coffee grounds are evenly exposed to the hot water).

04 Pouring

Pour about 30ml (about twice the amount of coffee beans) of hot water so that it is evenly distributed, and let it steep for 30 seconds.

Pour hot water slowly in a circular motion until the total volume is 150ml, as if to distribute the water over the entire powder.

05 Completed

Pour the hot water at a rate that allows it to drip completely from the dripper within 1 minute 30 seconds to 1 minute 40 seconds.
Once the water has drained away, it's done!
