A Note from Our Online Shop Manager

My first impression was: “This coffee is incredibly sweet.”

While it has a pleasant acidity, the rich sweetness is what truly stands out, gently wrapping the entire cup in a smooth and comforting way.

I feel this exceptional sweetness comes from the combination of the Black Honey process, the ideal conditions of the Tarrazú region, and the meticulous quality control of Hacienda Copey.

Best Before

Best enjoyed within three months of the roast date. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and consume promptly.

The bag may appear puffed due to gases released by the coffee beans, but this does not affect quality—enjoy as is.

Hacienda Copey, the producer of this coffee, was established in 2011 in Copey Canyon in the Tarrazu region. Located at an altitude of 1,840m to 2,195m, the estate owns 86.3 hectares of land. The diverse vegetation that forms the vast forests nurtures fertile soil, creating a unique ecosystem with a low-temperature microclimate with large temperature differences. The coffee grown in this wonderful environment fully expresses Hacienda Copey's unique terroir and has unique flavor characteristics.

We cultivate varieties suited to the Costa Rican environment, including Geisha, which requires delicate and advanced cultivation techniques, as well as Red Catuai, Yellow Catuai, Villasarch, and Villalobos.
In the production process, in addition to the traditional Costa Rican honey process, we also use natural processes that have a low environmental impact and the innovative anaerobic process, creating innovative flavors while being environmentally conscious.
